چکیده
<span lang="EN-US">This paper presents the design of a pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (pHEMT) self-oscillating mixer (SOM) for millimeter wave wireless communication systems. The 180° out-of-phase technique is chosen to both improve desired lower sideband (LSB) signal and achieve satisfactory rejection unwanted signals (LO, USB IF). This SOM designed on PH15 process UMS foundry which based 0.15 µm GaAs pHEMT. up-converted from 2 GHz-IF frequency 26 GHz-LSB frequency, using an autogenerated 28 GHz-LO signal. Simulations were performed advanced system (ADS) workflow. They show 6.4 dB conversion gain rate 29.7 chip size 3.6 mm2.</span>

Prospective of Fifth Generation Mobile Communications
This paper explores future mobile systems with emphasis on re-configurability based on cognitive and software defined radios. 5G (Fifth Generation) network architecture consisting of reconfigurable multitechnology core and a single fully reconfigurable terminal able to autonomously operate in different heterogeneous access networks is proposed. The proposed network is enforced by nanotechnology...
متن کاملA Low - Power Zigbee Receiver using a Self - Oscillating Mixer
1 Abstract—Low power, ad-hoc wireless networks have become quite popular due to their versatility and robustness. Since these networks consist of a large number of devices in close proximity, the link budget requirement on individual receivers is quite relaxed. Some important requirements include minimal power consumption (which increases lifetimes of battery-powered devices), and smaller chi...
متن کاملA Novel 2.4GHz CMOS Up-Conversion Current-Mode Mixer
In this paper, a low-power up-conversion current-mode mixer, designed in the chartered 0.18-μm RFCMOS technology, is proposed to realize the transmitter front-end in the frequency band of 2.4 GHz. The proposed mixer can convert a 10 MHz intermediate frequency (IF) signal to a 2.4 GHz RF signal, with a local oscillator power of 2 dBm at 2.39 GHz. A comparison with conventional voltage-mode up-co...
متن کاملDesign of a 2.4 GHz High-Performance Up-Conversion Mixer with Current Mirror Topology
In this paper, a low voltage low power up-conversion mixer, designed in a Chartered 0.18 μm RFCMOS technology, is proposed to realize the transmitter front-end in the frequency band of 2.4 GHz. The up-conversion mixer uses the current mirror topology and current-bleeding technique in both the driver and switching stages with a simple degeneration resistor. The proposed mixer converts an input o...
متن کاملA 5.25ghz Monolithic Image-rejection Mixer
This paper describes the implementation of the image rejection mixer block in the 5GHz frequency band using 0.18μm CMOS technology. The image rejection mixer block adopts the double-quadrature topology for high image-rejection ratio in the high frequency applications and is designed for the dual-conversion receiver. The loss of the polyphase filter in the signal path can be reduced with simple ...
